Piezo Nose Aesthetics (Rhinoplasty)

Nose aesthetics (Rhinoplasty) surgery is a subject that patients most demand and wonder about the recovery process afterward.

The most important change in Rhinoplasty in recent years has been the use of a device called Piezo that shapes the bone with an energy created by ultrasound.

As a plastic surgeon, it is very important for me that my patients have a more comfortable healing process, almost all nasal aesthetics (Rhinoplasty) operations are performed on the nasal bone.

Piezo system is a device that works with sound waves and allows us to cut and shape the nasal bone very thinly without damaging the skin and cartilage.

It is a technology that allows us to make clear and thin bone cuts and rasps, which are made very suitable for rhinoplasty with its newly developed heads.

Bone healing in nasal aesthetic surgeries performed with a piezo device provides 60% faster recovery compared to the conventional (old) method.

The most important thing for the patient in the postoperative period in nose aesthetics (rhinoplasty) is to cause less swelling and bruising, thus providing patients with a smooth recovery process.

Piezo is undoubtedly not the latest innovation in the field of rhinoplasty, but plastic surgery  It is a system in the field.

After Piezo Rhinoplasty  What to Expect?

One of the most frequently asked questions by my patients before surgery  The tampon placed in the nose after the surgery  whether it interferes with breathing or not. It does not block the airway of the person by using leaf-shaped silicone tampons, which is very comfortable in this regard and  same  in time  A comfortable feeling is provided. In addition, contrary to the general belief, the patient feels pain at a minimum when removing the tampons.

Another important issue for patients is when they can return to their work and normal life. The patient is hospitalized for one night after nose surgery and tampons are removed 5 to 7 days later.

Some patients may also be offered a massage after 3 weeks. We prefer that the patient does not wear glasses for 6 months.

Patients should not enter the sea or pool for 2 months.

Of course, we recommend that they do not receive any blow to the nose during the recovery period, in short, to protect themselves.

Today, developing technologies have facilitated the realization of nose operations in terms of   surgeon and at the same time  increased the comfort of patients.
