What is Recontouring?
Recontouring, also called reshaping or odontoplasty in dentistry, is a relatively quick and inexpensive procedure. It is the process of aesthetically correcting the broken, damaged or shapely problematic teeth with small molars.
In which situations does it apply?
Recontouring is one of the most protective of cosmetic procedures. With recontouring, it is possible to collect bacterial plaque and eliminate small irregularities that cause tartar formation. It is especially applied to the lower and upper front teeth whose tips are broken due to clenching and grinding. With the recounturing process, further fracture of the tooth is prevented and a much more successful result is obtained aesthetically.
How is Recontouring applied?
Recontouring can only be applied in cases of superficial problems where the entire tooth structure is intact. Does not require anesthesia
